Day 1 Technical training for DataScan engineers. On the first day of this trip, Medical Scientific and JPI Healthcare Solutions spent the day discussing the importance of mammography and also going over the entire process from calibration and how to use the software. The engineers from Datascan learned how the CMOS retrofit solution brings better quality in digital mammography imaging. All three companies are excited to bring such a product into the market with one goal—improving early breast cancer detection. |

Day 2 Technical training for Datascan engineers continued on the mobile unit. The analog mammography system is getting a new digital retrofit panel. In this photo, we are going over software installation, calibration, theory, and how to support the digital solution from both the hardware and software perspective.These engineers gave their 110% to learn this new product in hopes to roll out the new mobile mammography ASAP. This is a small step to a higher calling. |

Day 3 On day three, Datascan invited Chile’s top mammography application specialist to see the new detector. She was amazed on the clarity and how much detail was produced versus any other digital or analog units. She also gave tons of feedback on the product. We always look for ways to continue improving the product taking into consideration the recommendations of a female mammography expert’s point of view, which are highly valued. She is a pioneer that believes in the highest quality and we are all glad she is part of this team. |

We also had the opportunity to test the newly upgraded system on three volunteers. These volunteers gave their time towards the cause. We obtained a staff for the examinations. The resulting image clarity, details and workflow exceeded expectations on all levels. Here we see images on the high end doctor review mammography workstation. Images were shared with our leading radiologist contacts internationally, and all were equally impressed by the image quality. All the data obtained is going to be shared with their radiologists. Our hope is that the new images can provide more diagnostic information to their radiologists. |
| Medical Scientific, Datascan, and JPI Healthcare Solutions bring the future of early breast cancer detection into Chile. These three companies have successfully installed the highest resolution mammography panel in the market with the hope of improved early breast cancer detection. What brought this project to life: grandmothers, mothers, wives, aunts, sisters, cousins, and daughters who perished from breast cancer. The fight against breast cancer is a difficult one and early detection is critical. We will continue to build higher end products and provide the essential tools for continued, enduring hope.
